Is anyone else sick of Facebook?

Everyone uses it. But, like why? It's not even that great. Sure, it helps you keep in touch with friends and all that. But out of my 248 'friends,' I regularly talk to maybe eight of them, and those eight can definitely contact me by phone or email or twitter or, you know, in person. But what about that awesome dopamine shot it gives you? "Three new notifications?! Holy shit, I must be popular! Oh wait, never mind, two of them are from Candy Crush." (Which, by the way, is just Bejeweled. Why do people act like it's such a great new game?)

And you know I have a point, but for some reason, we still keep using it. I always have it open in a tab and switch back-and-forth between that and homework. And recently, I've just been getting really annoyed by Facebook — the people on Facebook, rather. I don't want to see how 'awesome' someone else's life is. Just because they took photos of it doesn't mean it was fun. So I finally pulled the plug/cut the cord/whatever. I'm out, bitches.

Kiss my ass, Zuckerberg.

Update Oct 19, 2013: I'm not missing Facebook quite as much as I thought I would. It feels good to be getting stuff done.

Update Dec 27, 2013: I'm back on Facebook, and now I don't find the need to check it every five minutes. I might just quit it for good when I get back to school.
